Interested residents are invited to come to Vienna Town Hall on July 6th at 6pm to continue discussing how to spend the $244,000 grant the Town received through the Community Parks and Playgrounds Program to revamp the town’s entrance park at 403 Race Street. The plan is to remove the fountain and create space for a playground, the Farmer’s Market, a pavilion, and a war memorial. But other ideas are welcome! Here’s a rendering of the Entrance Park.
Visit Cunningham Recreation to get ideas for playground design and equipment. A note: if we can select equipment where children’s feet do not leave the ground, significant cost savings can be achieved by avoiding costly surface materials.
