The Cambridge Spy article Our Town Vienna: The Elusive Patriot of the Battle of Vienna describes the life and legacy of Levin Dorsey, the only soldier known to have been killed on Dorchester County soil during the American Revolution. His sacrifice will be commemorated at the inaugural Battle of Vienna event on Saturday, August 29th, at the Emperor’s Landing waterfront park. Visit viennamd.org/events for details about all the activities taking place from 10am-4pm. Vienna’s children will be admitted without charge, as we want them to experience the children’s games and get a sense of what the busy port waterfront might have felt like during this critical time for our 320-year-old town.
